Do your co-workers ever make you feel like drinking?

I’m interested in people’s response to this question. Do you work with people that are either so egotistical or stupid that just interacting with them makes you want to drink?  Or worse yet perhaps the thought of poking your eye out with a letter opener sounds more pleasant than spending one more minute in a meeting with them? I’m willing to bet that as soon as you read these questions one particular person (or maybe more if you’re an unlucky person) popped into your head. No need to post names here. This isn’t a shaming blog. But you know who they are. Keep their names to yourself. But I’d love to know how you deal with these people. Do you kill them with kindness or do you resort to passive aggression? As much as I’d like to say I treat my special someone in the former manner as opposed to the latter, I hate to admit I’m not perfect. But I do try and remember the Golden Rule… Do unto others… So when I’m at the bar I try and buy a round of drinks for the poor saps that look as frustrated as me.  Cheers!

Inadequate People Discouraging You?

Have you ever felt like “Are you kidding me? That dumba** was promoted and I’m stuck in the same old job?” Or better yet…. You’ve worked diligently on some high profile project that would have absolutely failed under the direction of your boss but for your superb performance; and better yet your boss gets the recognition and promotion and you don’t even get a thank you! You all know what I’m talking about. They’re always the one person that seems like no matter what mistakes s/he makes; no matter what epic failures s/he presides over, that person is always receiving the get out of jail free card. Rest assured… You reap what you sow. You will get back what you give. Just be sure to be a bystander on the day that this particular person whom you know receives the shit crop coming his/ her way; you know the one….that’s right.  It’s the ginormous karma crop that s/he’s been cultivating for years. Make sure you wear your slicker. You’re gonna need it!  And no one will judge if you crack a smile ( no pun intended).  Of course this is just Trixie’s Take. Feel free to comment.
